The Architect’s Eye, The Artisan’s Soul

The Artisanal Decor Co. was born from a singular architectural conviction: that a home is not merely a structure of glass, wood, and stone, but a living vessel for the stories we collect.

As an architect based in Southern Fairfield County, my professional life is dedicated to the rigor of lines, the precision of light, and the permanence of form. However, my perspective is shaped by a deeper, more personal history. As a Peruvian-American, my internal compass has always pointed back to the high-altitude landscapes and the vibrant artisanal heritage of my homeland.

A Shared Pursuit of the Singular

This venture is a deeply personal one, shared with my fiancé, who is also an architect. Our weekends are rarely spent away from the "hunt." Whether we are navigating the stalls of local farmers' markets, getting lost in the dust of countryside antique stores, or traveling back to my roots in Peru, we are constantly searching for objects that possess a "soul."

We believe that the most successful spaces—the ones that feel truly intentional—are those that find a dialogue between modern architectural clarity and the tactile warmth of human history.

A Heritage of Design

In Peru, craftsmanship is a language of geometry passed down through generations. My journey with this collection began in the weaving centers of the Andes, where I sought out textiles that could stand up to the exacting standards of an architectural eye.

I was drawn specifically to the Ojo de Dios (Eye of the God)—a diamond grid pattern that has graced Andean weaving for three millennia. In its geometric precision, I saw the same principles of rhythm and proportion that we strive for in structural design. For me, these are not just patterns; they are the architectural blueprints of my ancestors.

The 1-of-1 Philosophy

In an era of mass production, we choose the singular. By sourcing exclusively 1-of-1 pieces, we are able to honor the individual spirit of the artisans we meet while ensuring that the soul of your home remains entirely your own.

Every object in our collection is selected through this triple lens: the professional expertise of two architects, the discerning eye of the antique hunter, and the cultural pride of a Peruvian. We invite you to find the pieces that bring a global, soulful history into your modern home.
